Monica's welcomes Matt from Carter's Chocolates in Port Orchard

to talk about all things chocolate! During this informative session you will get to taste several types of chocolate and some of Matt's famous caramel sauce, alongside dessert wines and ports that Monica has chosen just for this special occasion.

This delicious seated event begins at 4 pm: late enough in the day to indulge a little, yet early enough to enjoy the rest of your evening!

It's time to paint the inside of the cafe and we could really use your help!

We don't know much about painting and are looking for volunteers to help us make quick and excellent work of this project.

2012 ITINERARY

Under the guidance of Doumina Whyman, The Enthusiastic Traveler, Monica and Mark are embarking on our third culinary journey, this time in the regions of Umbria and Tuscany. We will enjoy the best culinary dishes in both of these regions as well as an introduction of wines from Small Vineyard Estates. We will be educated first hand by the winemakers themselves who take us under their wing, and even cook for us.

This is a hand-made, intimate tour for food and wine lovers and there is so much more to it than that! We will experience beautiful cities and hill-towns with fun, fantastic guides who live in and love these regions. We will experience Italy's cuisine, history, culture, art and religion, as the Italians do.

Full refund for cancellation 115 days prior to departure.
50% refund for cancellation 90 days prior to departure.
25% refund up to and not beyond 60 days prior to departure.
Travel insurance recommended, but not obligatory, with each booking.

In the unlikely event that some outings may change, replacement outings will be of equal quality.

Local Art in the Café-Ongoing

Come in and check it out!

We were so completely honored and surprised when you voted us one of the Best Art Galleries in Central Kitsap! We took third place to two actual art galleries and we just think that is completely fabulous!!

Team Bakery is proud to present local artists and authors for our community to enjoy so thank you for showing us that you love how we do that!

For our featured artist upstairs we are proud to present the debut of of our favorite photographer in the world: Mark Downen!

Mark has enjoyed photography as a hobby for about 30 years, and he has a natural eye that no "Photoshopping" could improve upon. When asked what he loves about photography Mark answers shyly "I love to capture images to show others what I see, because it is really fun, and I know doing that well does not come easily to most people." Mark has won and/or placed in several amateur photo contests over the years and now his work adorns our walls.

We thank Maria Mackovjak at Old Town Custom Framing & Gallery for her wonderful help and support to get these photos matted, framed, & up! You can see more of Mark's work in our Italy tour books, which he creates each year.

We also have some beautiful photography upstairs by Jowhara Wyatt. Jowhara's work includes Custom Newborn, Baby and Children's Portrait Photography, and she specializes in studio and natural light photography.

In the stairwell we have some wonderful works by kids at Kitsap Art School of the Arts You will be very impressed by these kids and their talents!

We also have some beautiful handmade cards upstairs for sale

Downstairs enjoy the mixed media/watercolors by Janet Hayford and Deanna Hansen. These ladies are two of our favorite customers and favorite artists, and they have adorned our walls with beautiful seasonal scenes.

We also have books by local authors:

Columnist Sally Santana; Poets Ellen Elizabeth and Mary Nye; Chef Jeremy McLauchlan

Authors Jason Parker, Wally Carlson, Sarah Nilson, Natalie Newport, Margy Clair, Crystal Marcos, Jim Trainer, Matthew Hoggins & Bonnie Linden all have signed copies of their books for sale and they all make great gifts!
