Monica's Monthly Classic Comfort Meals
Down home goodness, only better!
This concept has been so overwhelmingly popular that we are changing it to every 2 weeks or so... We will feature a "Diner Classic" comfort dish that focuses on local, in-season ingredients, to put our own special twist on these great meals.
If you are craving a particular old-time meal let us know and maybe it will make the lineup! For now we have a few ideas of our own, including:
We will make each dish at the beginning of the week and serve it until it is gone. You can be among the first to know what the dishes are through twitter, facebook, or just checking our home page on the web site!

We seek out the unusual finds at great prices and make them easy for you to get!
We have wines from a couple of family owned estate wineries in Washington
And several regions in Italy
We sell our wines at retail prices, not restaurant prices, so that you can have more access to great wines!
Monica’s offers 15% case discount, on straight AND mixed cases.

Monica tasted and selected each of these wines for their unique qualities and excellent values, and you will not find this particular selection anywhere else.
There are limited quantities available: the Italian wines are direct imports from small vineyards in Italy, and the Washington wines are often from small batches, so once they are gone, they are GONE.
Our wines are usually discounted at our wine tasting events.
Small Vineyards Imports only brings in wine that they are passionate about.
All of their wines are from family estates that are dry-farmed and hand-harvested.
Many of these families only produce a few hundred cases a year of each wine, and we are lucky enough to have some! Some of these wines are exceedingly rare and collectable. All of them are wonderfully drinkable! We also follow these guidelines when choosing Washington wines, so you know you are getting the best quality for the best price.

Did you know that 50% of Kitsap's Homeless Population is now FAMILIES? Many of these families, with school age and younger children, are living outdoors. And that is only counting those families who were willing to be counted...
Everybody needs a little help sometimes...
We Always Accept Donations For Our Neighbors In Need!
Please make sure all items are clean and in good repair. Bring them in to us any time and we will get them to those who need them the most.
We work with several charities, and right now our main focus are these three special providers, all of whom are right here in our own back yard:
*Central Kitsap food bank
*Pastor Art Speight's 'Taking It To The Streets!' Ministries
*Animal Rescue Families
Here is a list of most needed items to help get you started:
*Gift cards for gas purchases (many people who live in their cars have a hard time getting to jobs, school, meals and other assistance, due to the lack of gas money)
*Small propane canisters for camp stoves
*Flashlights & batteries (Sturdy quality please: for many this will be the only source of light for homework and latenight diaper changes, etc...)
*Clothing, especially thermal underwear (all sizes, mens/womens/kids)
*Boots *Rain ponchos (kids sizes too)
*Blankets *Sleeping bags
*Single rolls of wrapped toilet paper and individual tissue packets
*Hand sanitizer, antibiotic ointment, bandaids, mole skin, etc...
*Personal sized soaps/shampoo/razors/deodorant/shaving cream, etc...
*Diapers and baby wipes
*Feminine products
*Stamps *Pre-paid phone cards *Kitsap Transit bus tokens
*Grocery store gift cards of $25 each
*Small ziplocs of laundry detergent
*Camping foods (Canned or dried foods that store well)
*Cooking equipment (like for camping)
*8x8 or 10x10 Tarps (brown & camouflage only please, no blue)
*Money so that we can buy what our neighbors need most.
*SPECIAL NEEDS RIGHT NOW: BACKPACKS AND SLEEPING BAGS*
If you have extra backpacks or sleeping bags, or come across some at a garage sale, please make sure they are clean and in good repair. Then bring them in so that we can get them to those who need them.

[Silverdale, Wash -- November, 2008] Monica’s Waterfront Bakery & Café announced that they are offsetting their carbon emissions with Carbonfund.org, one of the country’s leading carbon offset organizations. Monica’s was able to offset the emissions of their business and each one of their employees. By joining Carbonfund.org’s CarbonFree® Partner program, Monica’s has joined a national movement of businesses and organizations that are leading the fight against global warming. Leading by example, Monica’s hopes to encourage everyone to take positive steps to make a difference.

All of Monica's gift cards act as rewards cards! Even if you no longer have a monetary balance on your card, you will still earn points with every meal purchase. You can track your balance online, but you don't have to do anything; we keep track of everything for you! Simply present your card each time you make a purchase and we will add your points on. If you want to maintain a monetary balance, we will take care of that for you, too! No need to carry cash or credit cards, just your Monica's card!
LEVEL 1 (25 points): A Free Cookie OR Coffee Drink
LEVEL 2 (50 points): A Free Dessert
LEVEL 3 (75 points): Free Dessert AND Beverage
